Nature Memory
We are starting to research and prototype a project called Nature Memory. Nature Memory will provide a way to build meaningful community links for schools, develop learning between the generations and make memories to share.

This is how we think it will work in practice:
- Children learn from older people in care homes about the flora and fauna they remember from their youth
- Children and older people in care homes spend time together in the natural world (the gardens of the care home)
- Children re-interpret the memories of older people as short digital stories
- Stories are shown to the public (for example in exhibitions, in schools, arts centres, and through a project website).
Nature Memory encourages older people to talk to a young audience in a controlled, familiar environment, recalling memories and passing on knowledge. You can see an example of a short Nature Memory story here:
We are currently looking for partners in schools, the care sector and the environmental sector – please get in touch or pass it on to anyone you think might be interested.
